Advanced Topics in Chemistry

In this course, students extend their study of chemistry concepts in order to develop a coherent understanding of matter at the atomic scale. Students will explore the core ideas of quantitative analysis, gas laws, thermodynamics, kinetics, equilibrium, reduction-oxidation, and acids and bases. Students will apply the science and engineering practices and crosscutting concepts of the Next Generation Science Standards to develop and strengthen their scientific reasoning and ability to explain phenomena in their everyday lives.

Advanced Topics in Chemistry is offered at the Academic and Honors Levels.
