AP Physics C
AP Physics C is equivalent to two semesters of college-level calculus-based physics courses. Students explore topics such as electrostatics; conductors, capacitors, and dielectrics; electric circuits; magnetic fields; electromagnetism; kinematics; newton’s laws of motion; work, energy, and power; systems of particles and linear momentum; circular motion and rotation; oscillations; and gravitation. Students use introductory differential and integral calculus throughout the course. Twenty-five percent of instructional time is spent in hands-on laboratory work. Students will be encouraged to sit for the ap physics c exams in mechanics and electricity/magnetism.
